KYC Compliance Lead

Purpose of JobWe are currently seeking a talented KYC Compliance Lead for the San Antonio Home Office, Phoenix, Tampa, Plano or Charlotte, NC.
The Know Your Customer (KYC) Compliance Lead within Enterprise AML Compliance leads and motivates cross-functional team members in strategy development and implementation of AML/KYC compliance solutions.
Provides oversight and guidance to assist Lines of Business and Enterprise AML Compliance in implementing and maintaining the KYC Standards.
Serves as a subject matter expert on key initiatives, projects, and processes related to KYC to ensure they comply with USAA Standards, regulatory and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:
Utilize advanced leadership and collaborative skills in interacting with Compliance stakeholders or regulatory agencies.
Provide Compliance input on Business and Enterprise AML Compliance action plans, projects or operational requests.
Review laws and regulations for business impact related to KYC.
Understand the changing regulatory landscape and the company's key challenges to provide oversight/ guidance to KYC Team, Enterprise AML Compliance, CoSAs and affiliates.
Coordinate KYC Team responses to regulatory, Testing and Audit requests Provide subject matter input regarding content development and identification of audience for key AML/KYC training courses.
Review and determine the disposition of request regarding the KYC Standards including exceptions.
Maintain subject matter expert knowledge of specific legal and regulatory requirements regarding BSA/AML/KYC.
Proactively identify strategic and tactical regulatory solutions by providing compliance subject matter expertise for KYC project, process and product initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required Or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree (10years).
8 or more years of relevant work experience in Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer, compliance, or work experience in a financial services company, legal or consulting firm.
3
years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.
Expert knowledge of BSA/AML/KYC regulatory requirements, laws and other relevant industry regulations.
Advanced understanding the Bank Secrecy Act, AML regulations, and the USA PATRIOT Act.
Proven experience working with Senior Management and influencing in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
Advanced presentation, prioritization, communication and problem-solving skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills:
6
years of work experience in a financial services industry, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
3
years of experience in KYC Governance.
BSA/AML and KYC compliance subject matter experience and background.
Experience working with Senior Management and influencing in a matrixed environment.
CAMS Certification and/or Advanced Degree.

Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.
You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
The salary range for this position is:
$88,200 - $158,900 ( this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location)Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Geographical Differential:
Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium:
will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
